SERVICE FEE INFORMATION
The 1996 Telecommunications Act requires all telecommunication providers to contribute to The Federal Universal Service Fund, which is designed to provide discounted telecommunications services to schools, public libraries and low income consumers. The FUSF rate charged by telecommunications companies is mandated by the FCC. The current FUSF rate for 2006 is 10.9%.
